painting. on canvas.

So my dearest second family, the Martin fam, comissioned me to do a painting for their sons Isaiah and Ammon. It took me a coupe of days to decide just what would be perfect for those two funny guys. Here's what I came up with.

This other painting trio was pure inspiriation; I hit that aritistic nirvana bliss in creating the perfect piece for my other mom, Hayley. I love her very much and wanted to leave her with a piece that reflected how she makes me feel.

Coming out of the Closet

I have a confession to make.
In my color photo class a couple semesters back my professor said DONT DO SUNSETS. Everyone does them, they are super over done.
So everytime there was a beautiful sunset (pretty much every night over the great salt lake!), I would scoff and tell the voice in my head, com'on, you've got to be original and sunsets aren't the way.
Well, Im fighting against it no more, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the pre-dark light, dusk is my favorite. Its those brilliant colors that get to me.
So, without further ado, I will join the ranks of the un-original and shoot all the lovely sunsets I want.

Antelope Island, after 730 pm

A nightly campout ensued after I got off work yesterday.
this is what my camera captured.

The Boheiman Dress

Two weeks ago, I had a meeting after church. I walked outside of the building and was in awe over the golden light touching over the nature park across the way. Lo and behold I dressed my very kindly sister up and made her galavant all over syracuse and west point with me. I think it was worth the time. :)

Jamal

Jamal needed some pics to put his acting portfolio together and I got the honors to shoot him. It was a lot of fun, Jamal is a great friend and model to work with!

Bethany's Bridals

Sunday Bethany and I went for a drive up Farmington canyon in her lovely white dress.. Alex came along too with his gun (it would have been too boring for him to tag along without something to entertain him) and these were my favs.

haunting in west layton

So anyone who's grown up in the layton area, has probably been out to the "haunted house" at the west end of gentile. here's a look around on a thursday morning in February. PS. I thought it was pretty clever of someone to anoint the chicken coop as the whore house.

Lechtenberg Daughters: Jenna

This was my first time doing a baby, Jenna is a sweet kid very happy, but didnt like very much being placed on her tummy or away from mom. I want to try working with her again and see what I can do better.

Lechtenberg Daughters: Hannah

Hannah is my oldest niece, age 3. She's full of energy and getting to that age of independence.
